MALMO, Sweden: Event organisers Nova Exhibitions BV and BureauSierteelt.nl have announced the 2016 Nordic Flower Expo will take place from 15 – 17 March 2016. Once again, the trade exhibition will take place at the MalmöMässan convention centre in Malmö, Sweden.
The event has been brought forward to the month of March to enable more growers and garden centre retailers to attend. Mid-March, just before the spring peak sales season, is one of the best times of the year to visit the Nordic Flower Expo.
The organisers initiated the three-day event in April 2015 with over 140 companies from 10 countries participating. Among the 2,500 visitors ranked growers, floral wholesalers, garden centre retailers, supermarket manager, breeders, florists and landscape designers. The three day event targets trade visitors from the Nordic countries—Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and their Baltic neighbours: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The Baltic region is considered to be a very interesting and promising export market for the coming years, while Scandinavia is a mature market with a high floriculture consumption and intense market competition. As in most EU countries florists dominate the market but other retail channels are continuing to increase their market share, particularly supermarkets and garden centres. The Nordic region is of great economic importance and has a very high GDP per capita.
Nordic Flower Expo gives give the exhibitors an excellent chance to look for new business partners, handle sales agreements personally and keep themselves up-to-date on the latest development within the complete floriculture and horticultural market of Scandinavia and the Baltic region. The event offers a top-notch educational programme.
