Here is what I have learned recently:
Delaware Valley Floral Group has extended it’s floral reach once again.
“The Delaware Valley Floral Group (DVFG) acquired certain assets of Nathan James Wholesale (NJW), on October 2, 2017. Located in Newark Valley, New York, NJW is an 9 year old company, which has been serving florists in the Central, Finger Lakes and Southern Tier regions of New York. The business will be consolidated into DVFlora, a division of DVFG.”

Wffsa comes to Miami for the next edition of their, Floral Distribution Conference. Hope to see many of you there.
As I have reported in the past, there are now two shows scheduled in Quito in 2018. The AGRIFLOR show, October 3-5 2018 hosted by HPP, which has been the only show in Quito for the last decade and now the Ecuadorean Flower Growers Association (Expoflores) has launched the ExpoFlor Ecuador show also held in Quito September 12-21.
This forces buyers, growers, breeders and all exhibitors including visitors, to choose between the two, especially since they are not held on the same dates.
Perhaps there is more demand for floor space than one show can accommodate and therefore two shows can co-exist like in Holland. But my guess is that one of these will have to make room for the other. Time will tell, in either case Quito is beautiful.
Florigene launches their blue rose.. again. This time it really looks almost Blue, perhaps a shade toward purple. Fresca Farms here in Miami has the exclusive on them, we are told. (featured image)

Thank you for your time.
