Berkeley Wholesale Florist of Chelsea announces closing

Long time Boston flower market cornerstone, announced that they are closing after 65 years. Jason Penn and Reuven Levy, are retiring as of July 31st! Good for them! What a wonderfully chaotic place it was on that corner of the Market at 5am. Wheeling and dealing flowers in one door and out the other as fast as the transaction could take place. Cash was king and the rest based on trust with clients that have been clients for generations.

Reuven said “they are leaving on a good note and it’s time to enjoy life.”

I wish them well and hope to see them around!
