I have been running around Miami trying to find out what the real news is. The airlines are having issues getting crews in the right position and that is seriously affecting the lift to get flowers into Miami.
The only way things are moving other than the limited cargo space is via a charter airplane. However, they are not available at nearly any price.
Basically the airlines are charging holiday pricing since they are flying empty to South America since southbound cargo is having trouble getting to Miami.
I encourage all flower folks to be patient as the whole state of Florida and beyond got wracked good.
