Yesterday Miami Dade County put new restrictions in place, saying that all non-essential business must close. This does not apply to flower importers, logistics or trucking. I talked to Miami-Dade to confirm this for the industry. For the full statement go to https://www.miamidade.gov/information/library/coronavirus-emergency- order-07-20-businesses.pdf

Also, there have been many changes in Colombia like in the US in reaction to the coronavirus. The President of Colombia put a stay order in place for all people of Bogota to stay at home from tonight to Monday morning. But, Asocolflores was able to get a special permit for all flower trucks to deliver to the airport for exports and also for the workers who live in Bogota to be able to get to the farms for work. This is great news.

Everyday things are changing and I will try and stay up to date on all of the changes and if they will impact the flower importers.
