KeymasterWILDFLOWER MEDIA ACQUIRES CANADIAN FLORIST MAGAZINE
(Topeka, Kansas) WildFlower Media Inc., parent company of Florists’ Review and Super Floral magazines, has acquired Canadian Florist magazine from Strider Media, in Woodbridge, Ontario.
The purchase was finalized on Nov. 2, and Wildflower Media’s first issue of Canadian Florist will be the January/February 2019 issue. The magazine is currently published bimonthly.
Founded in 1905, Canadian Florist is the premier publication for retail florists and garden centres; studio, wedding and event florists; freelance floral designers; and the distributors, manufacturers and suppliers who support them throughout the floral industry in Canada.
As “Canada’s voice of the floral industry,” the magazine provides relevant and timely information that readers need to run their businesses successfully and efficiently, ranging from floral design and trends to business management, technology, events and news. Its mission is “to inform, advise, educate and encourage everyone who has the blessing of working with flowers.”
“We’re looking forward to building on the reputation and legacy that Canadian Florist has established over 113 years,” says Travis Rigby, president of WildFlower Media Inc. “Among our goals are to leverage the synergy of the U.S. and Canadian floral industries for the benefit of players in all segments, and to provide new, relevant and creatively stimulating editorial content for our readers, to elevate the professionalism of the industry and help everyone in it to sell more flowers!”
