Changes at Greenleaf Wholesale

Greenleaf Wholesale Florist is sad to announce the planned closure of 4 branches this month. Greenleaf Amarillo, Greenleaf Jackson and Greenleaf Tupelo will close on June 17th. Greenleaf New Orleans will close on June 30th. These are very difficult decisions for Greenleaf but necessary for our reorganization plan.

After the closure of these 4 stores, Greenleaf Wholesale will have 10 branches located in Texas, Oklahoma and the west. Greenleaf has been selling cut flowers, greens and supplies for over 55 years. We realize with the shrinking retail florist market, supporting small Greenleaf stores with full operating staff was unsustainable. We will focus on our core stores with a more centralized operational structure. Our goals are to increase efficiency and improve customer service.

We would like to thank all our customers and suppliers for their support of these branches. We especially want to thank our staffs at each store who have been hard working and loyal to Greenleaf for many years.

This is sad to see for any reason. In 2008 Greenleaf bought out the United Wholesale chain and based on the stores that they are closing it appears that this purchase was not the best decision. We wish them good luck as they are good company and a great floral family.
