Forgive my English but I am not sure how to describe the Freshfest event I just attended.
For those of you who might not know who Jet Fresh Flowers is allow me to tell you. JFF is a grower and importer from Miami who in 10 short years has become one of the most interesting and respected companies in floral.
They have achieved this by hard work, an intense focus on marketing, customer service and floral quality.
With that in mind they have created an event called Freshfest where customers, suppliers and friends are invited to an over-the-top display of creativity and fun.
Many floral companies have events for their customers but as far as I am aware none like this. This is the second Freshfest and while the first in 2023 was grand and fabulous they once again made it bigger and more interesting.
This one-day event includes so many segments that it will be hard for me to explain in words.
Invitees were greeted with champagne and snacks at 10am and allowed to explore the rooms full of floral creativity.
As you entered the large hall there were wooden pallets in many configurations decorated with flowers of all shapes and sizes. Sponsors were given the challenge of having their favorite designer to create a one of a kind piece using pallets. Over 20 installations were placed around the room and the results were fantastic for sure.
If that were not enough there was also a room filled with large displays where the sky was not the limit. Mike Black, Owner of Jet Fresh Flowers, turned Petal Productions of Miami loose.
Wi
This was where unlimited creativity meets surreal reality or something like that.
Returning back to some reality we were invited to watch several designer presentations that were inspirational and educational called Fresh Sessions.
Off to a lovely lunch and networking.
Next up was a floral gameshow where designers had multiple tasks. Creating a beautiful arrangement was the main objective but contestants also had to operate a pallet jack and separate buckets.
After the judging the judges had to make their own arrangements from the many flowers available to be judged by the audience.
Next was an event called old school / new school the famous Ian Prosser represented the old school and Sue McCleary, the new school.
The designers in the room loved this as they learned new stuff.
The sponsors got a chance to show their stuff on stage and then the fun began.
Booming music started playing, luring the masses into yet another room where the drinks flowed and food offered in the most unique ways. Inside there were many things happening. Celebrity style cameras encouraged all to act out their best runway moves. A station where attendees could create their own perfume scents and yes dancing.
This was a party not so much to promote JetFresh Flowers but to create a space where creativity was shared and goodwill was infectious.
My video review hopefully will better illustrate what I am trying to convey with my words. Thanks
