2020 Floral sales: Not to be compared to the summer of 2021. It is just too hot everywhere so flower sales are slower,
(actually the “old normal” for summer.) The weddings will return later when it cools off a bit, hopefully in September/October.
The production in South America is good and the airlines are flying on time. The exact opposite from 6 months ago.
And just when it wasn’t needed, two charter cargo airlines, Trans Caribbean and Solent freight are planning to begin flying from Quito to Miami once or twice a week. That should put some pressure on airfreight rates.
