The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) will launch the redesigned FloraCulture International (FCI) digital magazine on Monday, 7 September 2026. Its September/October issue will focus on sustainability and offer a more engaging, accessible experience for ornamental horticulture professionals worldwide.
Published bi-monthly by AIPH, FCI’s refreshed visual identity and digital reading experience mark one of the title’s most significant transformations in decades.
For readers worldwide, this means content that is quicker to find and easier to read on any device, with a richer mix of in-depth journalism, video, interviews, data, and interactive features bringing the people, businesses, and issues shaping ornamental horticulture to life.
FloraCulture International was first launched to the public at the International Flower Exhibition (Internationale Bloemenvaktentoonstelling) in Aalsmeer in 1990, and for more than 35 years the magazine has reported on the people, businesses and developments shaping international ornamental horticulture. Today, FCI reaches growers, breeders, traders and suppliers worldwide through its direct readership, AIPH’s international network of member associations and FCI’s Media Partners.
The new-look FCI will launch on its new digital platform on Monday, 7 September, with the September/October issue, exploring how the international ornamental horticulture industry is putting sustainability into practice, from demonstrating impact and navigating standards to building more resilient supply chains.
“Growers, traders, breeders, and our partners and suppliers around the world are about to see FCI in an exciting new light,” said Tim Briercliffe, Secretary General of AIPH.
“This is one of the most significant transformations of FCI in decades. Alongside its refreshed visual identity, the digital platform will make the magazine easier to access and enjoy – whether readers are in the office, at a trade show or out in the field.”
FCI editor Ron van der Ploeg, who is working with associate editor Rachel Wakefield to bring together the magazine’s editorial content and new digital presentation, said: “Our new identity is both a tribute to FCI’s extraordinary legacy and a bold step into its new chapter.
“The move from static PDFs to a responsive, interactive web publication will transform how readers experience FCI. The clean design puts our journalism and your stories at the forefront, while videos, animations and embedded links will enable us to bring content and interviews from international ornamental horticulture to life for our readers.”
The new publication will be optimised for phones, tablets, and computers, with translation options available in multiple languages.
FCI’s look is changing, but its purpose remains the same. Every issue will continue to bring readers in-depth analysis, interviews and features from across international ornamental horticulture, while giving partners, sponsors and advertisers valuable exposure to the global industry.
The new-look FCI launches on Monday, 7 September 2026. Readers can subscribe free of charge to receive future issues and updates from across international ornamental horticulture.
